The Government, through the local bodies, created websites that allow people to go through all their basic Government processes registering for the electoral roll, getting an income certificate, and registering a birth. Furthermore, they uploaded multiple application forms to allow people to get through the process online. They can choose to download the forms from the Government of Meghalaya, Ri Bhoi District website. They would also have to use a different website depending on where they stay and where they need to register their child’s birth.
For a Meghalaya birth certificate, these are the document they would need
- Doctor’s certificate, if the doctor was present or attended on the patient during the birth.
- In case of institutional birth, the birth report form should be signed and sealed by the i/c of the institution or an authorized individual
